Isobel has substantial experience of community engagement, politics and the planning system. She is a Conservative councillor on Reading Borough Council, having first been elected in 2006.
Her notable issue-led campaigns include getting transparency over how developer contributions are used by persuading the council to commission an independent investigation into how Section 106 receipts had been used, the recommendations from which were implemented. Most recently she has been involved supporting a controversial campaign to build a primary school on a corner of the open space within her ward.
