We are currently looking for a self-motivated and talented Artworker/Graphic designer to join our busy teams in the Bristol, Thames Valley and Chelmsford offices. This role could be based in either our Bristol office or our Reading or Chelmsford offices. This is a fantastic, flexible role for a perceptive individual looking to take the next step in their career and get stuck in at all stages of the creative process — from concept to delivery. Ideally, you’ll have at least 3-4 years under your belt working in an in-house or agency environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Lead Graphic Designer and working closely with the middleweight designer, you will work across a wide range of creative disciplines — including; design for print and digital for a number of high-profile clients as well as providing internal design support and creative for new business pitches. This is predominantly an artworking role that requires a flexible approach, strong attention to detail, design flair and the ability to work as part of a close-knit design team and the wider business teams. You will act as a brand guardian for clients and MPC, ensuring all materials are consistently art-worked and on-brand.

A candidate with some added experience in web/online media, CMS driven site design would be useful. Some knowledge/interest in video production /editing would be a bonus.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Must have experience of working in an in-house or agency environment with a solid understanding of the print production process.

  • Must have sound knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software (including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat Pro)

  • Demonstrable knowledge of designing for print and digital spaces

  • Must have strong technical artworking skills (print/editorial)

  • Skills in design for web, CMS driven, Squarespace, Wordpress or similar are desirable.

  • Ability to take high level concepts/briefs and interpret them proactively from initial brief through to final delivery

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work well as part of a team but also use your own initiative to work independently

  • Strong attention to detail, competence to proof design work with a high level of accuracy

  • Ability to communicate cooperatively with in-house project consultants, suppliers and external clients

  • Aptitude to manage multiple tasks with tight turnaround times and to fulfil the brief without compromising on quality

  • Focused and deadline driven, ensuring the job is completed on time, to a high standard and always fulfills the brief. 

  • Keen to progress and to innovate within a variable and fast-paced design environment

  • Experience / interest in video, animation and post-production ( Premiere Pro / After Effects) is a bonus!
