Andy is a part of MPC’s growing Eastern Region team. As a Labour Councillor elected in a hyper marginal area of Basildon, Essex in June 2018, Andy can call on his first-hand experience of local government and front line politics to advise on community consultation as well as political and stakeholder engagement programmes.
He has a track record of success in supporting clients particularly on major town centre regeneration projects, including Swan Housing’s proposals to redevelop the Laindon Shopping Centre which were approved unanimously in 2016 and subsequently won awards for its consultation programme. He also has experience consulting on a wide variety of projects from reserved matters applications in the Green Belt to applications for student accommodation.
Prior to joining MPC, Andy worked in Westminster for the former Shadow Minister for Communities and Fire, Lyn Brown MP, and interned with National Newspapers including The Independent.
He holds a degree in History and Politics from the University of East Anglia.
Did you know? In high school, Andy played football against and beat Harry Kane in the 2006 Essex Schools’ Cup Final. Their careers have taken very different paths since!
