Ian is Director and owner of Meeting Place Communications. He has a wealth of experience of public engagement and political liaison. Ian has been a councillor in East Anglia and London and has stood for Parliament on two occasions.

Before founding Meeting Place Communications in 2006 Ian was a Director of a large public affairs consultancy. He is the author of And you thought planning wasn't about politics?
 

Anna has a degree in P.P.E. from the University of Oxford. She has worked as a constituency organiser for her party and has experience from her work in both the business and voluntary sectors.

Anna is a Director of the company and leads on our public consultation and participation, particularly in relation to major strategic sites such as the Rackheath Eco-Community and the proposed development at Shinfield, near Reading.

 

Nick joined Meeting Place Communications after five years working in the public sector. He has served as a local councillor in both England and Wales. Nick is leading on a major urban extension to Worcester, and schemes in Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire.

He was recently heavily involved in gaining consent for the development of a health centre in West London. Nick is also working on expanding the company's presence in Wales and regularly writes analysis of planning policy.

Johnny joined Meeting Place Communications after a stint in Whitehall. He led on case studies for the Communities in Control white paper published in 2008 by the Department for Communities and Local Government. He has also served as Assistant Private Secretary to the Secretary of State for Scotland.

Johnny read History and Politics at the University of Exeter, after which he spent a year working for Devon County Council.

He is an active Conservative, with strong links with London Conservative Future. He is currently actively campaigning on behalf of a number of Conservative PPCs in the South West.

 

Ruth has worked in a wide variety of administrative roles for companies including Procter and Gamble and the BBC.

Her role as Practice Manager at MPC entails managing all administrative aspects of the business, from organising our ambitious programme of events through to keeping track of all our internal processes and procedures.

 

Vicki focuses on securing new business and managing all aspects of MPC’s marketing.

With a background running a multi-million pound trading arm of a national charity, Vicki says “MPC is expanding fast and I hope that having someone dedicated to this area of this business will free up the team to focus on projects.”
