MPC worked on behalf of Primark Stores Ltd to promote the conversion of a shopping centre into what is likely to become the largest store in their European chain.

Objectives:

The primary objective was to increase levels of demonstrable support for the redevelopment  by promoting the establishment of Primark's flagship store

 

strategy:

There was an obvious pool of potential supporters among their existing shoppers in nearby Primark stores, but it did not follow that the current customers were familiar with the planning process or comfortable with engaging with the local authority. To harness their support we prepared a straight-forward supporter postcard which could be filled in at the till or following a purchase and simply dropped into a ballot box which was selected for its aesthetic design to fit into a retail environment.  

 

Result:

Over 1,900 people filled in supporter postcards.
