Community Engagement

At MPC we are experts at finding and mobilising support for planning applications. Supporters can come from almost any section of a community. Identifying them can be challenging, as they rarely engage in the planning process.

MPC don’t believe in a one size fits all approach to community engagement—every region and scheme is different. We utilise a range of engagement tools and methodologies to create a bespoke communications strategy, including finding supports, for each and every one of our clients.

Our first experience with MPC was in Bristol on a scheme that involved the redevelopment of a site that included a former malthouse, which many in the community consider a heritage asset. The site is also adjacent to some of Bristol’s most important stakeholders, such as the SS Great Britain and Aardman Animations. I was particularly impressed with how the team executed their strategy and programme of key stakeholder meetings and built a strong working relationship with these highly influential groups. MPC has worked tirelessly to engage positively with existing residents and near neighbours and has built a strong rapport with the local media who have written a number of favourable articles.
